Hi Leanne,

Creative Victoria provides direct support to Victoria’s creative sector through a range of funding programs. A list of these funding programs can be found on their website: http://creative.vic.gov.au/Funding They also have a newsletter which you can subscribe to by visiting the homepage of their website.

If you’re a Victorian artist or organisation looking for support for a creative project or program, the VicArts Grants are currently taking applicants. Applications close on the 17th of August 2016. You can read more about this and view the application guidelines here: http://creative.vic.gov.au/Funding/Arts_Programs/VicArts_Grants

The City of Melbournes’ annual arts grants program includes funding opportunities for arts projects and Indigenous arts projects for artists, arts organisations and community organisations, as well as artists looking for a residency. However applications for 2017 closed in June 2016. Application rounds usually open around May annually.

You can join a number of newsletters that provide updates on arts funding rounds including CDN’s monthly newsletter: http://www.culturaldevelopment.net.au/join/.
